Visit the Cathedral of the Pines

The Cathedral of the Pines is open daily
May 1st thru October 31st, from 10 am – 5 pm. 
The public is welcome to come and enjoy our exquisite view of Mount Monadnock, our gardens, and our historic monuments.

Annett State Park, located less than one mile from the Cathedral is an excellent spot for picnics and other group outings. Nearby Mount Monadnock is famous for its hiking trails and spectacular scenery. Restaurants, camping, and other overnight accommodations can be found throughout the area, along with a variety of other local points of interest.

  • Guided tours are available; groups are required to make reservations. There is a fee of $50 for senior citizens groups and for groups of fewer than 15 people. Bus tours are $110 per bus.  For more information or to book a guided tour please contact us at (603) 899-3300.


  • The pavilion is available, by reservation for group picnics, bus tours and small family gatherings for a fee of $50 per hour. We have picnic tables available for those who wish to bring lunch.

  • The Cathedral of the Pines is a pet-friendly campus.  Pets must be leashed at all times.  There are pet waste disposal bags available along the paths throughout the Cathedral of the Pines grounds.  All pet waste must be removed immediately and disposed of properly.

  • Although our outdoor paths can be uneven, most of the Cathedral of the Pines campus, including our various gardens and the Altar of the Nation, is wheelchair accessible. 

    Standard, non-motorized wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to use a wheelchair please see one of our friendly on site staff members for assistance. 

    Our wooded trails are not wheelchair accessible. 

  • Smoking is not permitted on Cathedral of the Pines grounds.


  • Food and beverages are permitted on the Cathedral of the Pines grounds.  We ask that you please be respectful of our natural setting and deposit all trash in one of the many wastebaskets located along our walking paths.

    Alcohol is NEVER permitted on Cathedral of the Pines property.

  • Throughout our open season the Cathedral of the Pines serves as the venue for a variety of events.  Many of these events are open to the public and we welcome all visitors to come and enjoy the festivities.  Please visit our events page for upcoming events, including our Summer at the Pines entertainment series.

    The Cathedral of the Pines is also the setting for several private functions throughout the season, including weddings and memorial services.  When these events are in progress, we ask that our visitors respect the privacy of those who have reserved the facility.  Areas not in use by reservation are always open to the public.
